Greed, Infidelity, Vengeance, and Stupidity

I very much enjoyed watching Matchstick Men, with Nicolas Cage as a brilliant con artist. One of the more truthful aspects of the movie was how con men always appeal to greed in their victims. Everyone's a fool, but when put forth the offer of "something for nothing", the weekminded (read: "greedy") become a fool's fool. So on the rare occasions I listen to the radio on thursday mornings, I sometimes catch War of The Roses on 95.

Computer Geeks

I was looking at my brother's LCD display. He had a remote VNC session open, flipping through some PDF file. It looked like some sort of language reference. “What sort of language is that?" “ASL” “for?" “DSDT table” “huh?" “ACPI” “ohhh, I see” Yeah, that's us.

Authorities said that Leach confessed to the crime after seeing Mel Gibson's controversial movie, "The Passion of The Christ"

Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

This woman in Atlanta apparently aready was a millionaire. Three times over! Too bad the local friendly Wal-Mart brought her back to reality. On Friday, Pike tried to use a couple of Wal-Mart cards to pay for $1,671.55 worth of items. But she only had a total of $2.32 on the cards, police said, so she handed the cashier a $1 million bill. Pike then asked for change for her $1 million bill, police said.

My Worm

At the beginning of the summer I visited my cousin's family outside of Chicago. When we were having dinner, the subject of drinks came up. I was so bold as to say that I would try (as in "eat") the worm that you might find in a bottom of a Tequila bottle. Everyone laughed and thought I wasn't serious (I was not drunk at the time). Anyways they told me it was called Mezcal and just as well I soon forgot about what I said.
