Anti-Semitic Google

I don't know how to say it in any other words. Sometimes people are stupid. Apparently Google is now anti-semitic: MEGA SEARCH engine Google has been hit by complaints that its search engine is anti-Semitic. It all started when Steven Weinstock, a New York real estate investor and former yeshiva student, did a Google search on “Jew”. The first site he got was Jew Watch, which looks at alleged Jewish conspiracies, Nazi literature and other anti-Semitic topics, under headings such as “Jewish Controlled Press” and “Hitler on the Jews?

Spammers Can't Count

Checking Yahoo Mail I find this. Idiot spammers think that idiot internet users will fall for their gimmick if their message looks legitimate. Isn't it a bit obvious that messages repeating twice in your inbox fall into the questionable category? This sender probably hit the send button twice. I didn't check to see if they originated from the same source. I deleted them immediately. I hope everyone realizes that any spam email you open may bring you more spam or worse infect your computer with virii.

Blog Tones

A girl from Belgium I met on the internet said she hated blogs. Why? Because she thought they were just the current fad. Although I know she was wrong, I do agree that the vast majority of subject matter in most blogs is inconsequential. Outside of technology related and politics related blogs, the remaining multitude are "personal diaries". I am a fan of these diaries, no matter how asinine or fickle they come across.

MP3 Swapping Chaos

Some of you may have already seen this link posted on Slashdot (please read it). The thing that caught my eye was that I read "Ann Arbor, Mich" in it. Basically the article states that the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) is serving subpoenas indiscriminantly to users who both download and share music files using P2P (peer-to-peer) file sharing programs. In terms of liability they may also target user's parents, grandparents and roommates all depending on account information from their ISP (internet service provider).

Blogging

For those of you who do not know what a "blog" is, I would like to offer a definition. A blog (short for web log) is simply a webpage with short and frequent posts in the form of a diary or journal. As Blogger.com states: ?Blog posts are like instant messages to the web?. That notion characterizes blogs quite perfectly. The one thing that all blogs have in common are that they are in some way personal.
