My First Pistons Game
And the Detroit Pistons defeat the San Antonio Spurs in a somewhat uneventful home match today afternoon. And the only reason I care about this game is because ... I was there. So my brother secured some tickets for today's game and ignoring the complexities of whom the tickets were intended, I ended up going with him (thank you my dear slacker). We had a good time. It was my first time at the Palace and first time at an NBA ball game. Never thought I'd yell that much or get such a kick out of watching crazy people cheer for their team. My mom thought she saw us on TV, twice! Not sure if she did, but I'm happy she looked :) ... A thanks out to Tai for the directions - sorry we couldn't do something after. Anyways, I'm looking forward to coming back to the palace eventually. And I'm looking forward to telling my co-workers that I actually attended a ball game! :-P
Look at me, I sound like such a kid.
Fear of Syndication
As I've said before I get literally a hundred times more readers for my Resources than I do for my blog, which is perfectly fine. When I started this I wasn't expecting anyone to read this. Well as requested by some, I finally added an RSS feed for my blog. I don't know if I just opened a can of worms or not. I guess a blog isn't "official" unless it supports feeds. Going with the flow...
Anyways, FireFox users can add me their "Live Bookmarks" and you aggregators do your damage. I'm only supporting RSS2.0, if someone requests Atom or RSS 0.9.2, I'll add it. Otherwise enjoy.
U2 Vertigo 2005 Tickets Selling Like Hotcakes
So this morning I woke up a bit early and got ready at 9:50am, loaded up time.gov and watched the time click till 10:00:00am and clicked on the Palace of Auburn Hills website. Logged in and purchased my U2 tickets and landed 2 floor spots. It took about 3 minutes. I was a bit hesitant about being on the floor, but I've heard great things about the experience. So I went for round 2 and tried to purchase 2 more in the club section. Maybe I could sell them or have 2 more people. I think it was about 10:07am and all I could find was behind the stage. Tried again and by about 10:11am I couldn't find anything nice for a pair of seats. I'm shocked U2 tickets sold so fast. Oh well, I got my place. That's all that matters.
You can look on my brother's blog for our seat locations. As lame as I may sound, I've been looking forward to the chance since about 1993.

Been Waiting a Long Time...
Everytime U2 has toured in the past I wasn't able to go. I remember on the day of the Pop Mart tour in October 1997 one of my friends asked me if I could pony up the cash to join him - but I was flat broke. And the Elevation tour came and went in 2001, missed that too.
Just now I read the announced U2 concert date is October 24 and show time is at 7:30pm. Why a monday? I don't know, but I don't care.

Spelling and the Internet
To anyone who did not know: Martin Luther King Jr. was NOT assinated. I repeat, he was NOT assinated. This is one of those times Google may be wrong (see one of the top links in that search).
