Picture This

Okay I feel much better now. After almost 2 months, the India pictures are done being scanned! I just need to sort them a bit, then upload. So people please be patient. Overall assessment is that they came out a bit dull - flash? film? - not sure what caused it. Oh well. Next time I'll know better.

Sad School Day

What a tragedy. More on Google news.

Back from India

Well I'm back. I don't feel like I'm completely back to my old self, but I'm getting there. It was an amazing trip. I can't recall how many different emotions I felt throughout the trip. I could write novels on all the different things over there: culture, people, technology, family, religion, food! :) Never have 3 weeks taught me so much. India was a welcome change. And the biggest change for me is that it no longer seems so far away.

To the Homeland

I should be sleeping, but I find myself in front of the computer one last time before I set off to my homeland. Quite a few things still occupy my thoughts. Seems a bit unreal to me. I don't know if I'll be prepared for the culture shock or any other shock. Had to brush up on my mother tongue, which still leaves a lot to be desired. And I have no idea how many things I forgot to do, that I planned on doing.

They Can Speak English in India

Today's Ann Arbor News has the front page of the business section showing an Indian female answering "qurestions" in India from American welfare recipients. And the news has some articles on the growing trend of outsourcing. In regards to legal work, the most interesting revelation is that "work is going to India because English is spoken there". Imagine that! In the past 10 years I've heard the dumbest questions about India - all from educated people.
